Cate Berry lives and writes books for children in Austin, Texas. Ms. Berry is earning her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, Writing for Children and Young Adults program (July/2017), and received her Picture Book Intensive Certificate in the process. Cate is an active member of SCBWI as well as a card carrying member of the Austin kid-lit community. Before writing for children, she worked as an actress and as a singer-songwriter in New York City. When she’s not nosing in a book, she naps, much to the chagrin of her husband and two children, Milo and Annabelle Pearl. Her debut picture book, Penguin and Tiny Shrimp Don’t Do Bedtime releases in May/2018 with Balzer + Bray/Harper Collins.
Anne Bustard: Born in Hawaii, Anne Bustard is still a beach girl at heart. If she could, she would walk in the sand every day, wear flip-flops, and eat nothing but fresh pineapple, macadamia nuts and chocolate. Anne is the author of three non-fiction works for young readers including the award-winning BUDDY: THE STORY OF BUDDY HOLLY. Her middle grade debut, ANYWHERE BUT PARADISE, was a 2016 finalist for the WILLA Literary Award and the Texas Institute of Letters Best Children’s Book Award. Anne lives in Austin, where she is part of the vibrant writing community. You can find her online at www.annebustard.com
