Tailor-Made Workshops for Corporate and Nonprofit Clients

We welcome corporations and nonprofits for board meetings, weekend planning retreats, team-building events, as well as those seeking a change of scenery to gain new ideas and fresh perspectives. Previously, we’ve worked with Whole Kids Foundation (founded by Whole Foods Market), Book in a Box, McCombs Business School, Austin Monthly, Women Communicators of Austin, DPR Construction, and more. Workshops are designed to help teams reconnect to the power of writing and storytelling to better advertise services, reconnect to an organization’s mission, and build team unity through creative play.

Barn Parties

If you are looking for a space that is literature-themed or unique in its rustic but elegant setting, consider booking The Writing Barn. The large indoor area is outfitted with comfy chairs for relaxing and plenty of space for tables to feature catered food, books for signing, or gifts. The screened-in porch offers extra mingling space with fans of the warmer temperatures and portable heaters for the winter. The courtyard is surrounded by mature trees, dotted with fairy lights, benches and more. There are two fire pits that also may be used with owner approval.

In addition to the event space, the Book House and Cabin may be rented for out-of-towners.


  • Full-Day Rental (8 hours): $650
  • Half-Day Rental (4 hours): $400
  • Book Launch Party (4 hours): $400
  • Other events: baby showers, birthdays, anniversary parties, etc.; price varies depending on time of event and season
  • Weddings: limited number of weddings per year; price varies depending on length of event and season
