Most of us can remember at least one middle grade novel that made an indelible mark on us and helped shape us into who we are today. These books aimed at fourth through seventh grade are what made many of us lifelong readers—and writers! This Mastering the Middle Grade Workshop will be held over the course of four days. Faculty, Donna Gephart and Tina Wexler, will lecture and lead group workshops with exercises, designed to improve your writing and get you thinking about Middle Grade in a whole new way.

laura-line-200“I met Donna Gephart in April, 2010, at an Erma Bombeck Writing Workshop in Dayton, Ohio. We became instant friends. Throughout the years, she has proven to be a treasure in my personal and professional life. She’s a giver, and my writing has matured from the things she has given to me, in person, through emails, and on her blog. I can’t be at the amazing Writing Barn for the Advanced Writer Weekend Workshop, but on Donna’s behalf, for all she’s given to me, I want to give to someone else.” author, Crystal Allen
